ShortStops

It's happening, and we're putting it out there. While we've just started compiling work, the page is being crafted, the logo is set (for now, until I get antsy of course) and I'm ready to take off with this side project. More information to come but for now, know that I'm in it to win it, things are being made, and soon, I'll be sharing a link to see it all!

Have No Fear.

Thought this was simple and nice. Makes me really want to put together a small, clean, and simple book. Been ages since I made anything like that.

From Pearlfisher in London and New York, it's a collaborative project that, "..is a celebration of graphic design and is made of 20 powerful beliefs that have defined Pearlfisher as an agency over the last 20 years." Nothing more than black and white, and 2 typefaces to express the belief.

QR Code Success

Seems like the QR code phenomenon was a flash in the pan kind of ordeal. Most of all it wasn't always used in great ways. Thankfully before it goes away completely there was an add that uses it, and uses it very well. I love ads that actually have an interaction purpose and this doesn't disappoint. Plus, if they can't fill it in correctly to get to the application for the tattoo job, they shouldn't be putting ink to skin anyway.

How Many Fingers?

Not biased just because I love the show, but I appreciate installations that are simple, effective and down right awesome. So was the case I thought with the countdown to the premiere of The Walking Dead. Credit to Creativity (obviously given their watermark) for the image, and the following excerpt.

"Commuters at Toronto's Union Station don't need to look that info up on their phones -- they can just glance at this awesome outdoor installation via Leo Burnett Toronto that shows the countdown via the severed fingers method." Clever.

And the best part is that you can tweet yourself with a picture of you at the installation for a chance to win one of the severed fingers. Interactive and gruesome. Great combination.

"..But I Won't Do That", "Goat 4 Sale" and the SuperBowl 2013

The Superbowl brings about many new commercials and efforts to get attention, cause a stir and to be remembered enough to have coworkers talking about them over the water cooler. As I go back and rewatch the spots, there are a handful I saw that stuck out or I just liked, or well, just wanted to repost here. And with that I bring you the following...
